RUNNER-1, officially RUNNER-1 FASat-Delta, is a multi-purpose remote sensing satellite developed by Terran Orbital and ImageSat International. The satellite is based on Terran Orbital’s advanced avionics platform and the ISI’s electro-optical mission system. RUNNER-1 comes with a host of capabilities: a ground control system, data collection, and rapid response times for infrastructure monitoring, natural disasters, security, and climate change. The satellite is also capable of submeter high-resolution multi-spectral imaging and color video.
As a part of ISI’s constellation, RUNNER-1 will expand Chile’s national space program, Sistema Nacional Espacial, and support the Chilean government. The satellite will support the construction of a space-based ecosystem, improving the country’s civic engagement, economy, and education. The advanced technology solutions developing the country are geo-location data management systems and extensive AI capabilities.

SpaceX Falcon 9
Falcon 9 is a two-stage rocket produced by aerospace company SpaceX. The reusable, medium lift launch vehicle carries cargo and humans into Earth’s orbit. The booster (first stage) reaches a peak altitude for the payload (second stage) to enter its revolution.
The rocket launched the Transporter-8 rideshare mission on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 2:35 PDT. Taking off from Space Launch Complex 4E at Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB) in California, Falcon 9 sent 72 payloads, including RUNNER-1, into a Sun-synchronous orbit.
