We are building the Satellites and constellations of the future
Payloads
Terran orbital has extensive experience designing and integrating mission payloads for a variety of functions. These payloads are primary sensors used to accomplish the mission and vary wildly in their requirements and physical parameters.
Guidance, Navigation, and control components include everything you need to point your spacecraft in the direction you want, whether that is at the sun to charge, at the ground to communicate, or out into space for science. In general, gnc components can be broken up into two categories, sensors and actuators, and Terran produces both.
The electrical power system provides energy for the spacecraft to accomplish its mission, fueling the unique science performed by every spacecraft. The EPS components include both power storage and power generation items.
Command and data handling systems are the core functions of the spacecraft, they let you control the system and communicate with it. Central to that is the flight computer, backed up by a number of radios and other ancillary interfaces.
Terran Orbital designs and produces high quality, mission ready dispensers. These components secure your satellite to the launch vehicle while it is still on the ground, shield it from harmful vibrations while blasting off, and give it a final kick to separate cleanly from the upper stage of the rocket so the mission can begin.
Terran Orbital’s earliest missions used the intrepid platform, building off the work done by the founders at Cal Poly San Luis Obispbo. Intrepid spacecraft utilize the spacecraft exterior panels for most functions, leaving almost the entirety of the interior for payload volume
The Endeavour platform is Terran Orbital’s previous generation of spacecraft hardware. Endeavour components are highly integrated, allowing extremely compact satellites optimized for the lowest cost, and highest payload volume possible to accomplish a mission.
Terran Orbital is a leading manufacturer of small satellites primarily serving the United States and Allied aerospace and defense industries. Terran Orbital provides end-to-end satellite solutions by combining satellite design, production, launch planning, mission operations, and in-orbit support to meet the needs of the most demanding military, civil, and commercial customers.

Testing Is Our Quality
Terran Orbital emphasizes the importance of risk
reduction through rigorous expert analysis and
on-site testing.
Incoming Inspection
Quality control of Terran Orbital’s approved vendors includes detailed inspection and acceptance testing of incoming parts. In-house inspection and test capabilities include:
• Automated Optical Inspection (AOI)
• PCB X-Ray Inspection System
• HASS / HALT Testing
Integrated System Testing
To ensure operation in the space environment, in-house environmental test capabilities verify system level performance without requiring the satellite to travel off-site – reducing handling and schedule risk. Capabilities include:
Thermal Vacuum Chambers
Vibration Tables
EMI Chambers
Thermal Ambient Chambers
Assembly, Integration, And Test (AI&T)
We use modern tools for issue tracking, inventory management, procedure execution, and test automation that deliver complete traceability, transparency, and comprehensive test coverage at both the sub-system and integrated system level. Reducing schedule and cost does not mean cutting corners; it means optimizing the process to improve both quality and quantity through continuous improvement.
